Growing up in England just after the war proved to be hard for many working class families like ours. We both grew up in fine homes where both Mom and Dad sacrificed for their families. Barbara attended a Baptist Church growing up and John was raised Catholic.

Barbara came to know the Lord at a Billy Graham Crusade in Manchester, England, in 1961. They were married in 1969. John and Barbara have three married children – Keith, Jennifer and Kim, and four grandchildren.
John received a work contract in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1975. They left England to work with the P & O Shipping Line for 5 years. In 1976 John came to know the Lord under the ministry of American missionary Jack Moorman.
Following the end of the contract John and Barbara decided to stay in South Africa. After serving in their local Church and completing Bible College, they surrendered to Church planting in 1985. During the next 18 years they planted three Churches and a Christian school – New South Baptist Church, Naturena Baptist and Diepkloof Baptist in Soweto, Johannesburg.
Then tragedy hit their marriage and John left the home, the ministry and moved away from the Lord. They lived apart for over a year, but in the year 2000 God gave them a miracle and their marriage was gloriously restored.
They moved to Cape Town in 2001 and started a new life. Following invitations to share their testimony, the ministry of Revival in the H.O.M.E. was founded. John and Barbara have become the authors of two books: “Tale of Two Towers” and “Measuring Your Marriage” group study programme.
Revival in the H.OM.E. ministry assists local Churches in establishing Biblical, relevant, practical and interactive programmes to restore family values and enrich the covenant relationship of marriage.
In 2005 Cape Missions International was formed to bring out short-term mission teams to support the ministry and help local Churches in Children’s, Youth and Leadership programmes, as well as outreach activities to win the lost to Christ.
The Lord has supernaturally used this near tragedy in marriage to reach many with the message of hope for families, marriages and a saving relationship with Christ.
To HIM alone they give the glory.
